From an early age, KRYSTA RODRIGUEZ was redesigning people’s spaces in her head. Even as her life’s passion of performing took her further away from the family business of home renovation, she would still walk into rooms and mentally tear down walls and rearrange their furniture.

At 19 years old, Krysta began what would become a burgeoning career on Broadway, including roles in Spring Awakening and Lin Manuel Miranda’s In The Heights. She starred as Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family Musical alongside Nathan Lane, and headlined the musical First Date with Zachary Levi. In every theater she would “nest” in her new dressing room, specifically designing for each character to inform her roles. Television jobs followed, with series regular roles on NBC’s Smash and Trial and Error, with John Lithgow.

Her two passions truly converged when she was cast as unmatched legend Liza Minnelli, in the upcoming Ryan Murphy series “Halston” for Netflix. Being immersed in the lives of fashion and interior design icons became such a joy, studying the glamorous and experimental aesthetics of the 70s. Photos from the raucous and lively parties at Halston’s infamous townhome conjured such feelings of a hey-day that one can’t help but want to capture it for their own.

When shooting was put on hold for Covid, the feelings of wanting to create beautiful spaces felt more pressing than ever. Krysta promptly dove in to scratch her persistent design itch, taking on clients who wanted to refresh their spaces and flipping two houses in a few months. The idea of a design business began to solidify, approaching design like she does her roles. Spaces should find what evokes feelings, include history and a future. Specific, Deliberate….Curated.
